Quest Honors Rebecca Vilsack with Distinguished Service Award

May 31, 2018

In May Assistant Vice President of Information Technology Financials Systems Rebecca Vilsack was recognized by the Quest International Users Group with a 2018 Board of Directors Distinguished Service Award. The award honors Vilsack’s service and leadership during her nearly six years as a board member.

Quest represents more than 55,000 users of Oracle software products including JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, and Cloud Applications. This international community leverages education, networking, and advocacy to improve user satisfaction.

Quest is “a better organization today and better positioned for the future because of committed leaders like [Rebecca Vilsack],” Quest Chief Executive Officer Jon Vaughn said.

While most Quest board members hail from the business sector, Vilsack assured representation for the academic community. Academic institutions have unique needs and challenges that differ from those of businesses. Vilsack gave voice to these concerns.

Prior to her recent resignation from the Quest board, Vilsack also advocated for software improvements that benefited the University of Central Florida. UCF Financials, the online accounting system, was designed using PeopleSoft. As leader of Financials Support Services, Vilsack brought an in-depth understanding of the system’s needs to conversations with Oracle.
