This Web page traces the history of the Oracle PeopleSoft Financials Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implemented by UCF. Also included is a history of the websites developed to support the original implementation project and to provide ongoing end user support.

Project LIFTOFF (Leading Initiative For Transition Off Florida FLAIR)
Project LIFTOFF was UCF’s 13-month effort to move from the centralized, state of Florida accounting system to its own accounting system. Many historical facts and statistics leading up to the July 1, 2003, launch of UCF Financials are archived on the Project LIFTOFF website.
UCF Financials Upgrade to PeopleSoft 8.9
The University of Central Florida upgraded from Oracle PeopleSoft Financials 8.4 to 8.9 software. The upgrade effectively began in August 2005 and went live on May 1, 2006. During this timeframe, UCF upgraded the following modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and Asset Management. UCF Financials Upgrade to PeopleSoft 9.1
The University of Central Florida upgraded from Oracle PeopleSoft Financials 8.9 to 9.1 software. The upgrade went live in November of 2010. During this upgrade, UCF upgraded the following modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Asset Management and eProcurement. To view more information about the 9.1 upgrade, click here.
UCF Financials Upgrade to PeopleSoft 9.2
The University of Central Florida upgraded from Oracle PeopleSoft Financials 9.1 to 9.2 software. The upgrade successfully went live on October 3, 2016. With this upgrade, UCF updated all of the existing modules to follow the new Oracle PeopleSoft layout and scheme. To learn more about the 9.2 upgrade, click here.
