Other Important Fields

 

Although the SetID, Business Unit, and Currency Code fields are not considered ChartFields, you should understand them also.
SetID
Purpose:Designates the top level of an accounting structure. UCF uses UCF01 as its default SetID.

In addition, UCF uses the following three Set IDs for vendors to support Accounts Payable functions:

• UCF01 – used for UCF Financials data
• UCF02 - used for student refund data
• UCF03 - used for payroll-related voucher data

Field Length:Five alphanumeric characters
Definition:University of Central Florida
Value:UCF01, UCF02, or UCF03

Business Unit
Purpose:Used to break down an accounting structure (designated by SetID) into numerous business entities. UCF uses one General Ledger Business Unit under one SetID and uses three Accounts Payable Business Units (i.e. UCF01, UCF02, and UCF03).

The terms Business Unit and SetID are often used interchangeably in UCF Financials. When you see a field with the word Unit in the name of the field, that field refers to Business Unit.

Currency Code
Purpose:Specifies dollar currency used.
